The Distinguished Flying Cross [DFC] is awarded to all Military personnel in command of Capital, Freighter or fighter class ships for an act or acts of valor, courage or devotion to duty performed whilst flying in active operations against the enemy. A straight silver bar is awarded for further act or acts of valor, courage or devotion to duty whilst flying in active operations against the enemy. The slip-on bar has an Lucrehulk Battleship in the centre. The year of the award is engraved on the reverse, along with the name, rank and unit of the recipient. <br />
